At 15:03 Hrs. Station 43 along with Station 52 (Canton Twp) were dispatched for a Tractor Trailer carrying a Grain Combine on fire on Interstate 70 West Bound at the 14.5 mile marker.  Engine 43-2 (Crew of 1) Eng 43-3(Crew of 3),and Eng 43-4 (Crew of 4) arrived on scene to find a well involved brake and tire fire at the rear of the trailer. Fire and heat were starting to consume the tires and the front portion of the combine until the fire attack was initiated. Crews brought the fire under control in short order. Haz-Mat materials (BOOMS AND PADS) were placed alongside the berm to collect any oily run-off from the tires burning. After the scene was under control, its was determined that this incident was just in the Canton Twp response area. All fire units were clear of the scene @ 16:45 Hrs. with no incidents reported.
